The Residenza d'Arte is a charming 14th century village in stone, an historical dwelling unique in the world that rises majestically on a splendid hill surrounded by cypresses and age-old olive trees.
The Residenza is situated in the medieval town of Torrita di Siena, a few kilometers from Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano, and Cortona.
As soon as you cross the gate of this historic dwelling, you will join in an artistic and poetic experience where nature and contemporary art are in harmony, so the Residenza d'Arte is a unique place to stay.
The reception desk is in a large and pleasant hall where ancient beams and stone walls vibrate in a chromatic moving dance together with a collection of paintings, sculptures, and design artworks.The entire village is wrapped in a magic atmosphere, from rooms to the surrounding park.The project to create an unique Gallery Hotel in the world as the Residenza d'Arte starts from an idea of the artist Anna Izzo, sculptress, painter and interior designer known all over the world.
Anna Izzo thought to an alternative to the usual hotel without personality, creating in a place so ancient and rich of history a real hotel with the intention to emotionally involve the guests through the originality and energy of her creations.This village returns to his ancient splendor, thanks to the love of Anna Izzo for Tuscany, that here created a unique atmosphere, combining the pleasure of spirit with body and mind relaxing.
In the park, and all common areas of Residenza d'Arte can be admired hundreds of artworks made by Anna Izzo, for example the colorful gazebo-sculpture in the garden, where everyone can enjoy a breathtaking view of the historical center of Torrita di Siena and his countryside,ideal panorama to taste a good wine or read a book in complete quietness.
The sofa, the chaise lounge, sinous chairs and tables, made in shiny resin or brushed iron, are scatter around in the hall as splashes of colour in a painting, creative and functional furnitures harmonized with beams and stone walls of the village.
Repaired from our amazing Gazebo-sculpture, we can have a breakfast in the park, delighted from a wonderful view, or inside our colorful and cosy saloon.
Breakfast is on buffet and is composed by milk, coffee espresso, cappuccino, american coffee, tea, yogurts, croissants, muffins, homemade cakes and jam tarts, bread, salam and ham, cereals, orange juice, butter, various jams, biscuits and fresh fruit.
